Founded in February 2023, Southern Section Stats aims to use statistics to cover boys high school basketball teams in the Southern Section, or Southern California, region. This website offers matchup previews, tournament stat leaderboards, and statistical team rankings. Team stats that are tracked and ranked include: PPG, OPPG, Pt. Differential, Avg. Pt. Differential, Avg. Margin of Victory, and Avg. Margin of Defeat. Matchup previews include comparisons between rankings, team stats, standings, and records. For now, only boys basketball teams within the stated region are analyzed, hence the name. Data is courtesy of MaxPreps.
